Ultimate Guide to runDisney: Club runDisney

Because it's not Disney without a well-defined class system

Okay, I'm kidding about the Disney class system (sorta - AP tiers, DVC, "Deluxe" resorts, Lightning Lane Premier Pass...). But yes, runDisney has its own tiered Club runDisney that comes with nominal perks at a high annual fee.

Club runDisney is an annual membership that opens up for registration once per year.

For 2026 Club runDisney membership registration opens to the general public on June 10, 2025 at 10am EST, pending availability. The bolded is important, as not all membership levels may be available. Preference is given to existing Club runDisney members to renew at their membership tier first, and then lower-tiered members have a chance to upgrade or renew at their tier before registrations open to the general public. The tiers are as follows:

Club runDisney Silver Membership

The 2026 Silver membership will set you back $289 plus tax, and perks include:

  • Member Welcome Kit with a Club runDisney jacket, a magnet, a membership card, and a medal for a Club runDisney Virtual 10k (that you will presumably run)

  • Tier 1 pricing year-round for races (which is usually moot if you're signing up on registration day already)

  • A Club runDisney designation on your race bibs (sure, okay)

  • Early access to renew or upgrade membership before the general public (this is really what you're paying for - note there's no guarantee you can upgrade, but you at least have a better chance)

Club runDisney Gold Membership

For $635 plus tax you get all the same perks as Silver plus:

  • A pin with your Welcome Kit

  • Early entry into the Expo merchandise shop for any race weekend (very handy for a much calmer experience)

  • Early registration for one race registration each weekend

This one is a pretty big value. If you're aiming to sign up for multiple race weekends per season then you get the stress-free experience of registering for your race or Challenge a week before everyone else. No rolling the dice for the registration process might be worth it.

Club runDisney Platinum Membership

For the low, low price of $993 plus tax you get all the Gold perks plus:

  • Early registration for two race registrations each weekend - this is only for the Club runDisney member, however, as opposed to signing up yourself and a family member. Essentially you're guaranteeing you can register for a Challenge and 5k for the non-WDW Marathon Weekend events

  • Special bib pickup at the Expo (no waiting in line for bib or merchandise)

  • Upgraded Corral placement (you'll get bumped up one Corral, POT or not)

Only you can decide if Club runDisney is worth it for you

Personally, I would have a hard time justifying the cost of any of the Club runDisney memberships. Silver is really more of an entry point to give yourself a better chance at Gold the following year. The early registration and early merchandise access makes Gold a much better value, as you're at least paying for peace of mind that you'll get your race or Challenge as well as first pick at the merchandise. Is that worth the year+ of Silver plus the price of Gold? Only you can decide based on how much you're comfortable spending. Same goes for the Platinum - if you think you want to start completing perfect runDisney seasons (every race of every weekend - yes, a lot of people do this) then it might have value. I imagine if you have the funds for four or more Disney trips each year, plus the actual registration fees for every race and Challenge, then Club runDisney Platinum membership is a drop in the bucket.

If you don't go the Club runDisney route then you'll register with the rest of us commoners, and you'll also battle it out in the octogon of the runDisney Expo.
